Position Overview: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day administrative and operational functions that support clinical service delivery across the organization. This role provides leadership to teams responsible for credentialing, billing, scheduling, referrals, EHR administration, IT support, and office operations. The primary objective of this position is to ensure efficient, consistent, and high-quality operational support that enables providers to focus on patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and oversight to operational team members responsible for credentialing, billing, scheduling, referrals, EHR administration, IT support, and office management functions.
  • Oversee daily operational workflows to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency across departments.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for administrative processes impacting providers and facility partners.
  • Monitor operational performance and identify inefficiencies, gaps, or bottlenecks; implement process improvements as needed.
  • Oversee EHR administration and partner with IT resources to ensure systems functionality, access management, and workflow optimization.
  • Coordinate office management activities to ensure a professional, functional, and well-supported work environment.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to align operational support with clinical and business needs.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Business Development, HR, Finance, Compliance, and Regional Liaison teams while maintaining clear role boundaries and scope of responsibility.
  • Support operational readiness for onboarding, staffing changes, and organizational growth initiatives.
Requirements

5+ years of experience in medical practice management and/or healthcare administration.

Prior experience as a medical practice manager, operations manager, or equivalent healthcare leadership role.

Strong working knowledge of billing, credentialing, and payor dynamics.

Maryland-based (or nearby) and able to work on-site in Silver Spring 50%+ of the time.

Typical Physical Demands

This position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, computer, and other office equipment is also required. Must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
