Overview
The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Phlebotomist to support our government customer located in Silver Spring, Maryland. The hours are 6:00am - 2:30pm.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the collection and handling of blood specimens and related assessment of volunteer safety used in diagnosing and tracking illnesses, drug testing, clinical trials, or other health-related areas requiring a blood sample.
- Prepare lab tube requirements and associated paperwork for next-day visits, ensuring all required documents are present and the correct version.
- Provide a written monthly update report of any issues or concerns involving the laboratory, freezer storage, or phlebotomy operations (equipment, supplies), and status of or issues involving CLIA/CLP certifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Requires completion of an accredited Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) program and passing a national PBT certification exam.
- IATA Certification.
- Must have four plus (4+) years of relevant experience.
- Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and tasks.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a NACI for Common Access Card.
