Requirements:

• Master's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience in a leadership role within Clinical Informatics
• Extensive experience from Ambulatory side
• Change-maker mindset - aware of potential pushback
• Big-picture thinker - experience developing Clinical Informatics organizations

Plusses
:

• Doctorate in Clinical Informatics - will need eventually if converted

Job Description
:
Insight Global is seeking a visionary and experienced Clinical Informatics Leader to drive meaningful progress at an enterprise-level hospital system in Maryland. This individual will lead a team of ambulatory clinical informaticists and oversee two directors of clinical informatics, collaborating closely with the Vice President of Clinical Systems and the Director of Training to build a true Center of Excellence for Clinical Informatics.

Responsibilities include leading current initiatives such as AI vision, population health, transplant-related projects, and day-to-day ambulatory operations. The role involves using data to track performance and assess whether interventions are driving positive change, while shaping the overall vision for Clinical Informatics. Key goals for this consultant include establishing appropriate KPIs, revamping the training team, developing product roadmaps, improving Epic usage, and defining strategic objectives for the future of clinical informatics.

This consultant must be a change-maker and big-picture thinker.
