Under the supervision of the Front Desk Supervisor, The Medical Administrative Assistant will serve Proyecto's patients with the highest level of care, supporting the operations at Front Desk.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
- Ensures that patients scheduled for appointments are served promptly with the highest level of care.
- Responds to the incoming calls from patients seeking for information about the clinic services.
- Schedules new patients in need for the clinic's services and assists the Front desk on the schedule for established patients.
- Maintains knowledge of community services and resources available to patients.
- Makes sure that patients’ demographic and financial information is up to date in the clinic’s database system ( eCW).
- Explains policies, procedures, and services available to patients using administrative knowledge.
- Ensures patients’ fees are collected according to the approved sliding fee scale and the clinic’s accounting policies and procedures.
- Addresses or directs patients' concerns to the immediate supervisor or the Front desk supervisor.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong Computer skills.
- Excellent active listening skills and a strong service orientation.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Medical Assistant Certificate a plus.
- High School diploma
- 1 year of experience in Customer Service.
- 1 year of experience in Health Care.
- Must have CPR certificate.
- Comfortable working on a fast pace/team work environment.
- Background check required.
