Location: Silver Spring, MD

End Date: 05-25-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Sunday-Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 35

Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

• Assist the physical therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain function and independence
• Deliver therapeutic exercises, gait training, and mobility interventions with compassion and skill
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately using facility charting systems
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the rehab team to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
• Maintain treatment areas and equipment, ensuring safety and infection control standards are met
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of patient care processes

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant or eligible for PTA licensure in Maryland
• Graduation from an accredited PTA program (Associate degree or equivalent)
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Comfort working in a fast-paced rehab setting and supporting a diverse patient population
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or completion of an accredited PTA program

• Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercise, modalities, and gait training
• Knowledge of safe patient handling and body mechanics
• Proficient documentation skills and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to assess patient response and report changes to the supervising PT
• Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and family education
• Time management and prioritization for a busy caseload
