- Full Time – Day Shift (7:30 am - 4:00 pm)
- Location:
Silver Spring, MD - Food Services Department
- Completes nutrition assessments and provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in a timely manner.
- This position reports to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, Food Services Director
- Completes nutrition assessments and provides medical nutrition therapy using the nutrition care process in a timely manner.
- Delivers individualized nutrition care to patients while performing within the scope of practice per Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Serves as a member of the interdisciplinary care team and participates in Performance Improvement projects.
- Provides nutrition education for the patients, family, medical and non‑medical staff and community.
- Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Health.
- Bachelor's degree or verification from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics confirming completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Requirements.
- Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in the State of Maryland.
- Active status as Registered Dietitian (RD), Registered Dietitian Nutrition (RDN), or Registered Dietitian Eligible (RDE) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Displays strong communication skills and ability to interact positively with physicians, patients, families, and other hospital staff.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle confidential information and situations.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Must be able to read, speak, and write English with understanding.
