Dialysis Technician | Silver Spring, MD | 13 Weeks Contract

Job Details- Position: Dialysis Technician
- Location: Silver Spring, MD
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Shift: Day Shift
- Schedule: 4×10
- Experience Required: 1 Year
- Pay Rate: $34 to $37 per hour
- Assist with the preparation and setup of dialysis machines and treatment areas
- Prepare dialysis equipment and supplies according to established clinical protocols
- Assist with initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments under the direction of qualified nursing or clinical staff
- Monitor dialysis equipment during treatments and report alarms, malfunctions, or unusual conditions promptly
- Obtain and record patient vital signs before, during, and after dialysis treatments as permitted by facility policy
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment information and patient observations
- Follow proper infection prevention, isolation, and aseptic techniques
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain dialysis equipment and treatment areas according to established standards
- Ensure appropriate supplies are available and assist with inventory management
- Assist patients with positioning, transportation, and comfort throughout treatment
- Communicate patient concerns or changes in condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider
- Follow facility policies, OSHA standards, and applicable dialysis safety requirements
- Support the clinical team in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient dialysis environment
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Dialysis Technician experience
- Dialysis Technician certification required according to facility requirements
- Current BLS Certification required by facility
- Experience with hemodialysis equipment and dialysis treatment procedures
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Familiarity with dialysis documentation and electronic medical records
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm and attentive in a clinical environment
