Clinical Research Revenue Cycle Coordinator I

OverviewThe Clinical Research Revenue Cycle Coordinator I reports to the Program Lead, Clinical Trials Office and performs duties in support of the research billing and invoicing compliance activities within the Clinical Trials Office.
Responsibilities- Participate in accurate and compliant clinical trial billing to ensure patient billing is consistent with clinical trial agreements, coverage analysis, and informed consent, and that charges are appropriately allocated to research studies versus other third‑party payers.
- Review claims in Power Trials and compare them with CTMS enrollment logs.
- Complete journal entries for patient care billing in a timely manner according to departmental timelines.
- Apply appropriate research discounts based on sponsor type, service area, and study tier consistent with clinical trial budgets.
- Maintain and respond to general inboxes.
- Maintain an inventory of all active clinical trials and ensure compliance with CTMS patient activity.
- Reconcile claims to ensure timely and accurate clinical trial invoicing as assigned.
- Facilitate the reconciliation of clinical trial patient care claims in CTMS.
- Communicate account irregularities to appropriate staff.
- Follow up on findings to ensure that reconciliations have occurred.
- Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, administration, or a research‑related field (Required). - Minimum
Work Experience:
1 year of experience in a clinical research environment, such as a stand‑alone research site, research department, centralized research office, or institutional review board (Required). - Required Skills/Knowledge:
Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT Codes, NCDs, and LCDs; knowledge of clinical research and clinical trials.
Pay Range: $54,683.20 - $91,145.60.
The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children’s National believes an individual’s base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children’s National compensation philosophy.
This base salary range does not include our comprehensive benefits package or any additional compensation for which this position may be eligible.
