- Provides advanced, expert-level respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients. Serves as a clinical and technical subject-matter expert, charge therapist and leadership resource. Directs respiratory care during high-acuity emergencies, supports staff development and promotes quality, safety and operational readiness across the department.
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care or a related field.
- Graduate of a Registered Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- Minimum five years of clinical experience in age-specific critical or intensive care.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Current Florida Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, when applicable.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, when applicable.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and STABLE certifications when trained or assigned to work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Experience serving as a charge therapist, preceptor or clinical resource.
- Experience mentoring and developing respiratory care practitioners.
- Experience leading quality improvement initiatives, committees or clinical work groups.
- Experience with Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) or Extracorporeal Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (ECPR).
Minimum 37.02/hour - Maximum 61.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
