Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to serve as the operational coordinator for the Mobile Integrated Community Health (MICH) and Assessment, Evaluation and Review Services (AERS) programs. This position will coordinate program activities designed to improve access to health care services, reduce barriers to care, enhance care coordination and connect residents with appropriate health and community resources. This position will serve as a liaison among health care providers, emergency medical services, hospitals, community organizations and program participants.
This position will coordinate referrals and service delivery processes. This position will assist with program planning and development. This position will conduct program monitoring and evaluation activities. This position will develop and implement operational procedures and support outreach, education and community partnership initiatives that advance the mission of the Health Department. This position will also assist with planning, monitoring, tracking and reporting activities associated with an annual operating budget supporting the MICH and AERS programs.
This position will monitor budget utilization, identify fiscal concerns, prepare budget-related reports and make recommendations regarding resource allocation and funding priorities.

Education :
Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Experience :
Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
- Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
- Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
