Adventist Health Care Home Health is hiring a Social Worker MSW in our Southern Maryland Territory and Silver Spring Territory. Qualified candidates will be eligible for up to a $2,500 sign‑on bonus! (Current AHC employees not eligible – see below under additional details.)

We're seeking an experienced Social Worker MSW, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide quality therapeutic care that is appropriate to the age, diagnoses, developmental state, and mental status of the clients assigned to their specific unit/department.
• Initiates and implements complete, comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
• Provides individual, group, and family therapies to clients and their families.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary treatment team to propose and develop strategies and interventions that would promote excellent therapeutic outcomes.
• Assists clients in their development of self‑respect, dignity, integrity, and self‑actualization through a multitude of traditional and adjunctive therapeutic services.
• Documents services provided and disseminates information/reports to community referral sources and agencies, i.e., DJJ, DSS, HHS, APS, CPS, LCC, etc.
• Coordinates with the interdisciplinary team, referral sources, and community resources to ensure a successful discharge planning process.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to diffuse psychotic and/or behavioral crises to ensure client, unit, and staff safety and stability.
• Assesses and intervenes in cases of suspected/disclosed child/adult neglect/abuse issues.
• Promotes positive patient‑family‑community relations.

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent Master’s Degree in a recognized health field.
• Licensed Graduate Social Work Licensure Required.
• One to Three Years Social Work Experience Preferred;
  Experience in an Inpatient Setting Preferred.
• Knowledge of Psychological Disorders & Abnormal Psychology Related to Adolescents and Adults Required.
• Work is primarily sedentary in nature requiring occasional exertion of up to ten pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Work requires visual acuity to read, prepare, and analyze data, transcriptions, and characters on computer terminal, visual inspection of documents, and similar objects or items at distances generally close to eyes.
• Worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental condition; conditions are typical of office setting.

Monday through Friday

• Current AHC employees are not eligible for a sign‑on bonus who are transferring from one entity to another and/or transferring within their entity.
• Employees that have terminated their employment with AHC are not eligible for a sign‑on bonus prior to six months of returning if hired for a position offering a sign‑on bonus.

Pay Range: $29.08 — $42.17
