Position: Scientific Data Analyst SME III

Location: Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE)

Work Environment: Hybrid / Telework Eligible (Routine and situational telework is authorized. Facility space restrictions may necessitate part-time or full-time telework.)

Clearance Required: TIER 2:
Non-critical sensitive position (Must be able to obtain and maintain)

Status: Full-Time

Salary Range: $90,000 - $133,000

Knowesis is seeki ng an SME III – Scientific Data Analyst to provide statistical analysis and health surveillance support to the PHCoE research and epidemiology missions. This role conducts statistical analyses of large administrative healthcare datasets and produces data visualizations and written findings that support the Center's research and medical intelligence activities.

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct statistical analyses of large administrative healthcare datasets in support of the PHCoE research mission.
  • Create data visualizations and other reporting vehicles to disseminate analytic findings.
  • Interact with enterprise medical databases to conduct epidemiological, clinical surveillance, and medical intelligence investigations.
  • Use administrative and clinical data to develop and operationalize outcome metrics to support high-quality mental health care delivery.
  • Prepare written artifacts of statistical analyses, including methods, results, interpretations, and tables/figures.
  • Produce technical artifacts (e.g., reports, tools, briefings, presentations, and manuscripts) consistent with the PHCoE mission set.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience analyzing large administrative healthcare datasets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, or R programming.
  • Experience navigating the MHS Information Platform (MIP) or similar military health data systems.
