Adventist Health Care's Capital Choice Pathology Lab seeks to hire an experienced Histology Supervisor for our Silver Spring, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Histology Supervisor you will:
• Oversee daily Anatomic Pathology Department operations, ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, efficient workflow management, and timely reporting of laboratory results.
• Directly supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel while monitoring daily workflow, ensuring adequate laboratory coverage and staffing across all shifts, as well as performing laboratory bench work, and escalating production issues as they arise.
• Researches and resolves laboratory matters, drives continuous process and service improvements, ensures equipment compliance through Quality Control, methodologies, and maintains accurate Quality Assurance records and documentation.
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide constructive feedback and coaching for their professional development.
• Ensures laboratory compliance with federal and state regulations, governing laws, organizational policies and procedures, manages employee payroll, personnel records, and performs administrative functions to support daily operations.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) in a science or a health science related field preferred.
• 4-7 years of clinical laboratory experience with a focus on Anatomic Pathology/Histology.

Experience with Cytology/Non-Gyns preferred.
• 1 to 3 years in a lead or supervisory role with a focus in Anatomic Pathology/Histology.
• HT(ASCP) certified or HTL (ASCP) certified
• Color Vision test is required for accuracy in work.

Shift Type:
Day Shift Pay Range:$77,313.60 - $If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
