The Regional Speech Therapist provides and oversees speech-language pathology services across multiple nursing homes within Baltimore/Silver Spring region. This role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, compliant therapy services and positive resident outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans per physician orders
- Provide clinical support and guidance to speech therapy staff across facilities
- Ensure documentation and services comply with Medicare and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families
- Support quality improvement and program development initiatives
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state SLP license and ASHA CCC-SLP
- 2+ years experience in a nursing home or SNF setting
- Ability to travel between facilities; valid driver’s license
- Regional or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of SNF regulations and reimbursement
