Talent Manager, HR Manager
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead benefits, HR compliance, and core HR operations for a growing, multi‑state professional services firm. This role is highly visible and will partner closely with senior leadership while helping modernize HR processes and implement our first HRIS.
This is a full-time exempt position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility to work beyond standard hours is expected when needed to meet business and operational needs. The position will be in-office to start, with the potential to transition to a hybrid schedule over time.
HR ManagerKey Responsibilities
- Lead employee benefits strategy and administration, including vendor management, renewals, open enrollment, and employee education.
- Own multi‑state leave management and HR compliance (FMLA and state leave programs); maintain policies and ensure consistent practices.
- Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, and policy application to reduce risk and improve consistency.
- Build and improve scalable HR processes across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, terminations, benefits).
- Support implementation of the company’s first HRIS, including workflow planning and cross‑functional coordination.
- Partner with Finance to ensure payroll data accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with leadership, Legal, Finance, and IT to align people practices with business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience with strong benefits and compliance ownership.
- Hands‑on multi‑state leave administration experience.
- Experience building HR processes in a multi‑location organization.
- Strong communication skills and a responsive, solutions‑oriented approach.
- HRIS experience required; implementation exposure is a plus.
- Experience evaluating or supporting self‑insured/level‑funded health plans.
- Background in engineering, environmental, construction, or similar services environment.
