Job Summary
Modaxo is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Human Resources Manager to provide end to end HR operational and strategic support for a newly acquired business located in Columbia, Maryland. This role will be a hybrid position with 50% in office. The role reports to the General Manager of the business and has a dotted line to the Group Vice President of Human Resources.
The Senior Human Resources Manager will be instrumental in fostering a positive and productive work environment, aligning HR strategies with business objectives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, talent development, and offboarding.
- Support the administration of Modaxo compensation and benefits programs.
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and local employment laws and regulations.
- Utilize training resources for managers and employees.
- Manage HR information systems (HRIS, Workday) and maintain accurate employee records.
- Conduct HR audits and prepare reports on HR metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with General Manager and functional leadership to foster a culture of engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a HR management role. Experience in a remote first, highly matrixed environment is preferred.
- PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of North American employment law and regulations is required.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and programs.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with HRIS (Workday) and other HR-related software.
- Experience in a technology or fast-paced industry is an asset.
