The Office of Human Resources Management invites applicants to apply for a full‑time, non‑exempt position (Human Resources Associate II) with benefits. The role reports to the Associate Director.

Salary: $48,138 – $55,000

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources staff and management.
  • Oversee bi‑weekly payroll check distribution.
  • Process payments to vendors through Workday and other university systems.
  • Answer telephone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries regarding HR services and procedures.
  • Maintain confidential employee personnel files and electronic records.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for new employees.
  • Maintain HR databases and enter employee information accurately.
  • Process personnel actions, employment forms, and other HR documentation.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Assist with payroll‑related documentation and record‑keeping.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Preferences)
  • 1–3 years of administrative or office support experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Experience with HR information systems such as Workday and electronic record management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of office administration and records management.
  • Understanding of human resources practices and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands
  • Extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, sitting at a desk.
  • Lifting required.
  • Communication with a variety of constituents internally and externally.
  • Operation of various office equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Four years clerical experience; at least three years involving application of HR policies and procedures.
Additional Requirements
  • Proficiency with keyboards, automated systems, computers, and related software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  • Mathematical skills including ratios and percentages.
  • Capacity to provide guidance and training to others and maintain courtesy under pressure.
