Regional Workforce & Industry Partnerships Coordinator; Eastern Shore – Grant-Funded

The Regional Workforce & Industry Partnerships Coordinator supports the college’s workforce mission across Maryland’s Eastern Shore by building strong employer partnerships, ensuring that students not only complete programs but successfully transition into careers, supporting regional employers, and strengthening the college's role as a workforce training leader.

This position plays a key role in executing the college’s Recruit-Train-Certify-Place model, with primary responsibility for connecting students to employment and ensuring strong placement, retention, and wage outcomes. The Coordinator aligns workforce programs with regional labor market demand, develops hiring pipelines with employers, and ensures compliance with state and federal grants.

• Develop and sustain partnerships with regional employers in priority sectors including healthcare, skilled trades, manufacturing, agriculture/aquaculture, transportation/logistics, and IT.
• Serve as the college’s primary liaison for employers seeking qualified trained individuals, talent pipelines, customized training, or upskilling solutions.
• Establish direct hiring pipelines aligned with workforce program cohorts with employers.
• Secure interview, internship, apprenticeship, and hiring commitments from employer partners.
• Collaborate with local economic development offices, workforce boards, chambers of commerce, and industry associations across the Eastern Shore.
• Support and facilitate industry advisory committees with a focus on hiring outcomes and program alignment.

• Own job placement outcomes for workforce programs, including tracking and improving placement rates, time-to-employment, and wage outcomes.
• Coordinate and manage student placement into employment, apprenticeships, internships, and clinical experiences.
• Track each student from enrollment through employment using a centralized system in collaboration with Students Services.
• Ensure alignment between recruitment, training, credential attainment and placement outcomes.
• Work directly with students and employers to facilitate successful job matches.
• Monitor and support post placement retention and success (30, 90 and 180 days).
• Maintain employer feedback loops to improve hiring outcomes and program relevance.

• Establish and manage internships, apprenticeships, and work-based learning opportunities aligned with workforce programs and grant requirements.
• Partner with faculty and program directors to embed work-based learning into career pathways and stackable credentials.
• Deliver or coordinate career readiness programming including resume development, interview preparation, and professional workplace basic skills.
• Support student recruitment, onboarding, and retention in workforce programs with a focus on employment outcomes.

• Track and report performance metrics required by active and future workforce grants
• Maintain accurate and timely data in institutional systems and support audits and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with grants management, institutional research, and finance teams to ensure compliance with reporting requirements, audits, and deliverables.
• Prepare reports demonstrating placement outcomes and return on investment.
• Use data to drive continuous improvement in program alignment and employment outcomes.

• Support the development of sector-based workforce strategies aligned with Eastern Shore economic priorities.
• Ensure alignment between credit and non-credit workforce programs to support seamless student pathways.
• Contribute to grant development efforts and workforce initiatives proposals.
• Represent the college in regional workforce and economic development initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in workforce development, education, business, professional sales, entrepreneurship, public administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
