HR Generalist
Location: Columbia, MD or Frederick, MD
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Salary: $75,000- $80,000
About the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR Generalist. This individual will support day‑to‑day HR operations and partner closely with HR leadership and recruiting teams to maintain continuity across key functions.
Key Responsibilities General HR SupportServe as a point of contact for employee questions and provide high‑quality, confidential HR support.
Assist with maintaining personnel records and ensuring data accuracy across HR systems.
Support compliance-related tasks, including tracking credentials, trainings, licensure, and audit‑ready documentation.
Assist recruiters with scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, reviewing applications, and conducting reference or pre-offer checks.
Help manage candidate movement within the ATS to ensure timely updates and accuracy.
Support employee events, announcements, and recognition programs.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including preparing documents and coordinating logistics.
Update HR documents such as forms, templates, and guides as needed.
Help track HR metrics or maintain spreadsheets—intermediate Excel skills preferred.
Support ongoing HR projects, policy updates, and compliance initiatives.
2+ years of HR experience, preferably in a generalist or HR coordinator capacity.
Ability to work independently, exercise strong judgment, and handle confidential information.
Proficiency with HR information systems and intermediate Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, data accuracy).
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and supporting multiple stakeholders.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $80,000.00 per hour
