A Dev Ops engineer is responsible for writing automation codes for provisioning and operating infrastructure y identify and drive opportunities to improve automation for code deployment, management, and visibility of application services. The role involves maintaining large computer systems, analyzing problems, troubleshooting, incident response, and communicating with site technicians to track issues to resolution. The engineer will work closely with the CTO to develop innovative automation solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities- Develop tools and frameworks to automate operational tasks, deployment of machines, services, and applications.
- Create next-generation network automation tools and monitoring systems.
- Establish end-to-end monitoring and alerting for all critical application components.
- Audit existing services for infrastructure issues related to security, configuration, or other problems.
- Support infrastructure hosting critical Dev Ops tools and applications.
- Support engineering of Linux systems.
- Stay updated with software development trends and innovations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Dev Ops engineering, team management, and collaboration.
- At least 2 years of experience with Dev Ops practices, including test automation, CI/CD tools, containers, cloud infrastructure, and setting up CI/CD pipelines from scratch.
- Experience with IaaS platforms like Terraform or Ansible, implementing scalable cloud and on-premise environments, service-oriented architectures, and microservices.
- Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD processes for enterprise SaaS and on-premise applications using tools such as Git Hub and Git Lab.
- Experience with network automation using Model Driven Interface (MD-CLI) YANG, gNMI, NOKIA, pySROS.
- Experience administering Linux-based systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) including patching, performance tuning, networking, user management, and security.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible, Salt-Stack, Chef, Puppet.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Node.js, PHP, Java, and scripting.
- Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and containerization with Docker.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools like Grafana and Slack bots.
- Strong networking knowledge including BGP, OSPF, VRRP, MD-CLI (Nokia).
