Technical Writer, IT Consultant
This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance.
2HB Incorporated is seeking a Technical Writer to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD.
QualificationsSix (6) years’ experience as a TW in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional TW experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
Position DescriptionThe Technical Writer shall be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for the HPC organization’s software products, services, and processes. This role requires strong writing skills, a solid understanding of technical concepts, and the ability to translate complex information into user-friendly content.
Position Required Skills- Familiar with the Linux CLI including understanding of terminology used to provide related documentation
- Experience using technical writing tools such as MS Office Tool Suite, Mad Cap Flare, and Adobe Frame Maker
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience implementing complex documentation practices within a software development environment
- Experience using Markup languages including HTML, XML, and Markdown
- Experience creating technical documentation for a wide audience
- Experience using the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with Git Source Control System
- Familiar with Agile software development methodologies
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
