OverviewArlluk Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Database Administrator with a secret clearance to support ATS and our government customer in Silver Spring, MD.
This is a hybrid position (4 days onsite, 1 day remote).

Responsibilities- Manage, build, and configure SQL 2016 and SQL 2019 servers.
- Ensure all applicable database Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs) are configured and applied to all production and test database servers and instances.
- Work with vendors (e.g., Freezerworks, Rees, Varonis) to deploy proprietary database technologies for back-end support and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform security/feature updates, data dumps, queries, and disaster recovery in the event of a system failure.
- Perform monthly database restore for user databases, perform consistency checks, and verify all objects with SQL queries.
- Design, develop, and manage Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets for government stakeholders.
- Provide documentation and ongoing support to stakeholders for all database servers, tools, and processes.
- Research and provide feedback and recommendations on database-related tools and software.
- Work with System Administrators to apply SSL certs, patches, and updates/upgrades to servers including but not limited to Varonis, Rees, and Freezerworks.
- Work with ISSM and ISSOs to resolve ACAS findings.
- Review IAVA/IAVAM notices relevant to SQL servers.
- Update SOPs, PPSM diagrams and documents, scripts, and other documentation as needed.
- Monitor SQL Servers and 4 SQL databases to ensure good overall health and performance.
- Maintain the Enterprise MEDIG Power
BI Dashboard including data sources, data sets, and report functions. - Support Continuous Monitoring efforts by working with IV&V personnel on STIG checks, database/server access, and documentation development/updates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into solutions
- Submit a monthly projects/activities status report.
- Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a successful background investigation.
- Security+ CE
- SQL 2019 or 2016 training certificate of completion
- Oracle Database SQL, Oracle Certified Professional, Azure Database Administrator Associate, or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Bi, Power Apps, and/or Power Automate)
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
- Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms.
