Job Description

The Epic Application Analyst II supports the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications. Under guidance from senior analysts and team leads, this role assists in system configuration, troubleshooting, and end-user support to ensure effective use of the application. The analyst collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, gaining exposure to clinical, financial, and operational workflows while contributing to system optimization and user experience improvements.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Education – Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • Minimum Work Experience – 3 years of experience in the analysis, design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic EMR or other EMR applications, with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows (Required)
  • Preferred: 3 years of working knowledge and subject matter expertise in the assigned operational department area (Preferred)

  • Healthcare & Revenue Cycle Knowledge – In‑depth knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and revenue cycle processes, leveraging Epic systems to align with organizational goals.
  • Adaptability & Resilience – Ability to adjust priorities based on evolving business needs and navigate changes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork – Proactive team member who builds strong relationships, provides valuable feedback, and collaborates to achieve shared goals.

  • Required Licenses and Certifications
  • EPIC Certification 60 Days (Required)
Functional Accountabilities
  • Responsible for the design, build, testing, validation, maintenance, and ongoing support of Clinical or Revenue Cycle applications.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary work groups to achieve team goals and optimize system functionality.
  • Develop intermediate knowledge of system capabilities, applications, and workflows to effectively educate and support end users.
  • Participate in routine meetings with department leaders and/or superusers to identify, document, and prioritize system needs.
  • Provide technical support services, troubleshooting and resolving system‑related issues.
  • Support Epic and other applications through software maintenance, break‑fixes, optimizations, special updates, upgrades, and implementations.
  • Conduct assessment, coordination, documentation, release note review, testing, and implementation of programming, upgrade, and project requests.
  • Provide on‑call coverage as scheduled, ensuring timely resolution of system issues.
  • Follow prescribed change management, time reporting, and documentation processes to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Respond to support calls within designated time frames, prioritizing issues and providing regular updates until resolution.
  • Document and communicate system support, status updates, and issue resolutions clearly and effectively.
  • Maintain current Epic certifications and participate in new version training to stay up‑to‑date with system enhancements and best practices.
