Test Engineer

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development, and that means rigorous testing. That's why we need you, a test engineering expert who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.

As a test engineer on our team, you'll lead your team as they work with test engineers from across the Army C2 portfolio. You'll oversee the creation of a test plans with test cases based on user stories. You'll supervise the generation of data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.

You'll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of various products within the Programs portfolio.

Work with us as we develop software solutions to provide the most modern tactical command and control network to the United States Army.

• 7+ years of experience developing and executing test strategies for system of systems software products
• Experience with the use, modification, and updating of software test tools
• Knowledge of Industry Standard, Department of War, or Department of Army test processes and procedures
• Knowledge of networking and security concepts
• Ability to understand and translate complex usage concepts and system requirements into actionable test plan
• Ability to manage and oversee multiple product testing timelines, resourcing, and execution
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED

• Experience in designing and executing tests for applications at scale, including performance, load, and stress testing
• Experience with hardware in the loop testing
• Experience with containerization
• Experience with testing applications within cloud environment such as AWS, Gov Cloud, or Azure
• Knowledge of Army Command and Control Systems
• Knowledge of EPG tool suites for system monitoring and testing
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
