Senior Technical Program Manager - Satellite Communications
We’re hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the development and delivery of next-generation satellite User Terminal systems supporting LEO, MEO, and GEO networks.
This is a high-impact role at the intersection of satellite communications, hardware product delivery, and complex systems integration, working across global engineering, product, supply chain, and customer teams.
You’ll take ownership of end-to-end programme execution, ensuring seamless delivery of advanced satellite terminal solutions for enterprise, telecom, transportation, and government customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Lead full lifecycle programme delivery for satellite User Terminal development and in-life management
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product, QA, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain
- Act as primary technical interface for customers and development partners, managing communication, risks, and delivery updates
- Drive DVT, QA, certification, and production readiness for global product launches
- Own structured governance of risks, issues, and corrective actions across all programme phases
- Lead technical problem-solving, including root cause analysis and 8D investigations
- Manage end-to-end project planning from concept through to mass production and global deployment
- Coordinate vendors, contract manufacturers, and supply chain partners to ensure delivery timelines and quality standards
- Produce clear, data-driven technical reports and executive-level programme updates
- Mentor engineering teams and junior programme managers, promoting best practices and delivery excellence
- 10+ years in programme/project management of complex hardware or systems products
- 7+ years working in SW/HW development environments (satcom, RF, networking highly desirable)
- Strong experience in NPI, manufacturing ramp-up, and production readiness
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale, cross-functional programmes on time and within budget
- Strong customer-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence across engineering, product, and business teams without direct authority
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Project, or Smartsheet
- Engineering, Computer Science degree (Master’s or PMP preferred)
