Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day desktop and IT support for Media and Publications employees within the IRS Common Operating Environment based on Microsoft Windows. Deploy and maintain desktops/laptops, troubleshoot issues, support printers, projectors, smart board whiteboards, blackberries, scanners and other networking equipment. Deliver high‑level support in an enterprise environment and assist with “above baseline applications.”
RequirementsMust hold a bachelor’s degree and have 2+ years of IT experience.
- Proficiency with Office 365
- Knowledge of Windows operating system
- Software / hardware support
- Experience using a ticketing system (e.g., KISAM, Service Now)
Preferred
- Existing familiarity with IRS and IRS processes
- Active Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) or ability to obtain one (similar to Public Trust)
NOTE:
This is an onsite position – expected onsite five days a week.
Washington, DC (approximately 150 employees) and New Carrollton, MD (approximately 80 employees).
