Position: Project Manager (Change / Readiness)

Program Focus:
Change Readiness

The IS Program Manager – Change Readiness will lead the development and operationalization of a system-wide change readiness program to enable successful clinical technology platform implementations, upgrades, and optimizations. The Program Manager will establish and govern structured processes for planning and coordination of readiness activities, ensuring alignment with operational needs, patient safety, and organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead integrated change plans across stakeholder groups, collaborating with training and communications teams, and partnering with clinical, operational, and informatics leaders to drive workflow adoption and sustainment.
  • Implement digital solutions to facilitate readiness activities, including training and communications platforms, clinical asset tracking, and process documentation.
  • Support organizational clinical technology downtime readiness by participating in preparedness activities and ensuring change impacts are understood, mitigated, and incorporated into operational practice.
  • Report through the clinical informatics structure and translate change impacts into standardized, technology‑enabled readiness strategies—training, communication, and downtime preparedness—to support reliable, safe care delivery.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field. (Required)
  • Master's degree in the same fields is a plus. (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
  • 5 years of proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or related role in IT or Healthcare, with a successful track record of delivering complex programs. (Required)
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross‑functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience with Healthcare IT project/program management is desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful working relationships with external vendors or outsourced services providers.
  • Familiarity with Cerner Millennium, Epic, People Soft/Fusion, and Service Now is desirable.
Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – Preferred.
Functional Accountabilities
  • Lead the end‑to‑end management of complex programs, including defining program scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and project plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for program stakeholders, providing regular updates on status, risks, and mitigations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify requirements, allocate resources, and manage dependencies between projects and initiatives.
  • Implement best practices and methodologies for program management, ensuring consistent and efficient execution across the IS department.
  • Identify potential risks and issues within the program and develop strategies to address and mitigate them.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project/program managers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Monitor and report program metrics and KPIs, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support the evaluation and selection of external vendors, partners, and contractors when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the IS leadership team to align program strategies with the overall IS roadmap and business objectives.
