Summary
Dev Ops Engineer is a critical role in sustaining and enhancing reporting tools that support mission success. Your efforts will include expanding collaboration platforms, installing and configuring complex software, managing servers and networks, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues to keep operations running smoothly.
Position Responsibilities- Deploy and manage applications across distributed environments.
- Install, configure, and optimize complex software solutions.
- Administer servers, networks, and technology tools to ensure reliability.
- Monitor and maintain systems to meet stringent security and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve outages, ensuring mission continuity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Dev Ops Engineer or similar role.
- Expertise with Linux administration, AWS, MASH, and VMs for cloud and virtualization, Networking, Firewalls, and Load Balancers, Terraform scripting and VM provisioning, deployments of distributed web applications, Docker, Docker Compose, and Docker Swarm container technologies, Public Key Infrastructure for secure authentication, and Git for version control and collaboration.
- An active TS/SCI with polygraph.
- Experience with eVo, CoDE, and UWE environments.
- API Gateways for secure and scalable integrations.
- Ansible scripting and development for automation and configuration management.
- Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana (ELK) maintenance and configuration for observability.
- Python scripting and development for automation and tool building.
- Relational Databases such as Amazon RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL, or Percona.
- HAProxy for load balancing and high availability.
- MongoDB for No
SQL data management. - Java / Spring Boot troubleshooting with error log analysis.
- Kafka Message Broker for distributed messaging.
- Hazelcast Memory Cache for in-memory data processing.
- NiFi maintenance and configuration for data flow automation.
- Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Zookeeper for distributed system coordination.
- Nginx Web Server for hosting and reverse proxying.
- Monitoring and Alerting tools to ensure system reliability.
- Agile software development practices for iterative delivery.
- Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work in an office environment (constant).
- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (frequent).
$150,000 - $220,000. The AV pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
