IT Specialist (Recent Graduate)
As an IT Specialist (Recent Graduate), you will perform the following duties:
In a developmental capacity, support template development. Apply metrics to assess technology compliance.
Assist with research efforts on compliance with standards, policies, and procedures to support accreditation decisions. Collect and report on results.
Assist with ensuring Information Technology (IT) systems are running optimally and securely. Assist in hardware and software configuration.
This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). This system replaced the Federal GS pay plan and structure. Under CAPS, positions are classified by career, pay plan, and pay band. The ZP-2 is equivalent to the GS-07/09. If selected for non-competitive conversion to a permanent or term position, this position has promotion potential to the ZP-3, which is equivalent to the GS-11/12.
