Position OverviewThis is an evergreen position created to proactively build a pipeline of qualified Litigation Immigration Attorneys for current and future openings within our Litigation Department.
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Immigration Litigation Attorney to join our thriving legal team in our VA, MD, or NJ offices. This role focuses primarily on federal district court litigation of immigration cases, including habeas corpus petitions, lawsuits for injunctive relief, Administrative Procedure Act review of denied visa petitions, and contested mandamus cases against USCIS and the Department of State.
In addition, the attorney will handle appeals of denied applications for relief and removal orders to the Board of Immigration Appeals, and Petitions for Review to the various U.S. Courts of Appeals.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Fairfax, VA, Silver Spring, MD, or Newark, NJ,with the expectation of on-site presence three days a week.
As a valued member of our firm, you will:- Manage your own caseload while meeting case progression benchmarks.
- Collaborate closely with paralegals and fellow attorneys to ensure seamless case handling.
- Participate in firm committees under the guidance of firm partners, contributing to the firm's operations and success.

Job Duties
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis for immigration law cases.
- Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
- Provide effective guidance and support to clients throughout the immigration process.
- Lead and manage multiple case files with strong organizational skills.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance legal strategies and case outcomes.
- Stay updated on evolving immigration laws and policies to ensure compliance.
- Active bar membership.
- A minimumof1year of immigration experience handling immigration litigation matters in the federal district court.
- Demonstrated experience in either immigration law or federal litigation, with the ability to navigate both areas effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
