A Day in the Life at M2

M2 Strategy is seeking a highly motivated Succession Planner to join our firm and support our government clients, commercial clients, and leadership. Desired Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and proven abilities in:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise succession planning strategies that strengthen leadership pipelines, ensure continuity of operations, and mitigate workforce risks
  • Conduct workforce analyses using demographic, retirement eligibility, attrition, and talent data to identify succession gaps, mission-critical positions, and future staffing needs
  • Develop and maintain succession planning frameworks, readiness assessments, competency models, and talent review processes aligned with Federal workforce management best practices
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify high-potential employees, assess leadership readiness, and establish talent pools for critical leadership and mission-essential positions
  • Design and recommend leadership development initiatives, including coaching, mentoring, rotational assignments, and targeted learning opportunities to accelerate employee growth and succession readiness
  • Provide strategic workforce planning advice and facilitate executive-level discussions regarding talent management, organizational development, workforce risks, and leadership continuity
  • Develop executive dashboards, analytics, reports, and briefing materials to measure talent pipeline health, succession readiness, workforce trends, and program effectiveness
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, governance activities, communications, and program reporting while ensuring compliance with applicable Federal workforce policies, regulations, and guidance
Basic Qualifications and Requirements
  • B.A. or B.S. degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience
  • Superb oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, Google Suite)
