Retail & Store Manager, Operations Management
Location: DMV Area (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia)
Reports To: Head of Retail
ABOUT BEAUTY 4UBeauty 4U is a retail chain with over a dozen locations across the DMV, currently at a pivotal inflection point. We are moving beyond the traditional beauty supply model to reimagine the entire consumer experience. Our vision is to become the global authority for hair and all things beauty. We are looking for a visionary leader to help us redefine the beauty supply experience for the modern consumer.
THE ROLEAt Beauty 4U, our Regional Manager is the ultimate leader of the brand vision across every store. You are not just overseeing a group of stores; you are fully "owning" a multi-store business. This role demands an entrepreneurial leader who thinks like an owner every single day—taking deep personal pride in the region's sales performance, the strength of its leadership bench, and the cultural environment inside every location.
You will be responsible for translating high-level corporate strategies into consistent, flawless execution store by store. This role demands an inspiring leader who can develop Store Managers into elite sellers and coaches, keep teams deeply motivated across every location, and cross-collaborate effectively with various corporate departments to ensure sales targets are consistently exceeded region-wide. This is a field role with constant store presence.
You will spend your time in stores, on the floor, working directly with your Store Managers and their teams.
- Regional Sales & Revenue (Priority #1): Own the sales performance of the region. Drive each location to hit and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets, and take personal accountability for the region's total results. Review performance store by store, know which locations are trending behind and why, and adjust quickly.
- Driving the Selling Culture: Set clear selling expectations for the region and hold every store to them: clienteling, add-on selling, conversion, average transaction value. Coach these behaviors in person during store visits. Keep energy and healthy competition high between locations so selling stays the focus of the day.
- Training & Developing Store Managers: Train, coach, and develop the Store Managers who report to you. Run consistent store visits with direct feedback, hold regular one-on-ones, and make sure every manager can read their numbers, run their floor, and coach their own team. Build a bench of ready leaders so we can promote from within as we grow.
- Performance Management: Identify underperforming stores early and act on them. Build improvement plans, provide hands‑on support, and follow through until the results change. Apply company standards, guidelines, and policies consistently across all locations, and handle operational or performance issues in accordance with company policy.
- Recruiting & Staffing: Partner with Head of Retail to recruit strong management and sales talent across the region. Keep every store staffed and scheduled to sell, and work actively to retain high performers.
- Brand & Visual Standards: Hold every location to the same prestige standard. Work with marketing so window displays, floor sets, and promotional signage launch on time and look right in every store, with shelves impeccable and full.
- Customer
Experience:
Hold the region to an elite standard of guest service. Make sure escalations are handled with professionalism, client relationships are built at every store, and each location is actively growing its local customer base and loyalty enrollment. - Operational Oversight: Hold each store accountable for inventory accuracy, loss prevention, cash reconciliation, timely reporting, and facility upkeep. Make sure stockrooms stay organized and replenishment keeps the sales floor full.
- Mindset: You must possess a true ownership mentality. We are looking for a self‑starter who takes personal accountability for outcomes and approaches challenges with a solution-oriented, business-owner lens.
- Experience: 3+ years of multi‑unit retail leadership (Regional, District, or Area Manager), or equivalent high‑volume store management…
