Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Manager
Guided Search Partners (GSP) Guided Search Partners is an Executive Search firm built on Trust, Transparency, Specialization, and Long-term Relationships. We connect high-performing professionals with organizations that value people, performance, and growth—helping leaders find roles where they can make an impact and build meaningful careers.
About the OpportunityWe’re partnering with a long-established, family-owned consumer products manufacturer with deep roots, strong tenure, and a culture built around taking care of people. This organization has operated successfully for generations and is known for being the kind of place where people build long careers—because the work is steady, the team is tight, and leadership is accessible.
This newly created Factory Administrator role is designed to be the “manufacturing glue” across departments. The goal is simple: give plant leadership a smart, reliable hub who can connect the dots, remove administrative drag, and keep work moving—especially where handoffs are common (design → manufacturing, quality → operations, parts ordering → production readiness).
This is an on-site, plant-facing role—ideal for someone who likes being close to the floor, enjoys coordination and follow-through, and takes pride in making the machine run smoother.
What You’ll Do- Act as the central point of coordination across manufacturing functions (electrical, mechanical, process, quality, etc.).
- Keep cross-department work moving by managing key handoffs—tracking actions, gathering inputs, and ensuring follow-through.
- Support document flow (e.g., moving drawings and updates from design into manufacturing-ready execution).
- Pull together quality reports and operational inputs so issues don’t stall between teams.
- Assist with purchasing/order coordination for parts and support items tied to production needs.
- Maintain organized records and communication so plant leaders and department heads have clarity and momentum.
- Be visible on the plant floor—building relationships, spotting gaps, and stepping in to help remove friction.
You’re the person leaders trust when something needs to get done—and done right. You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable working with multiple department heads without needing a lot of supervision. You communicate clearly, keep details straight, and aren’t afraid to jump in on tasks that “aren’t technically yours” when the business needs help.
You’ll fit best if you enjoy fast-moving environments, take pride in follow-through, and like being the connector who keeps teams aligned.
Preferred Experience & Attributes- Strong administrative, coordination, or program support experience (manufacturing/plant exposure is a plus).
- Comfortable working on a plant floor and engaging with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organization, documentation discipline, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Helpful, team-first mindset with a willingness to go the extra mile when needed.
This role exists to reduce friction and increase execution speed across the plant. By owning coordination, documentation flow, and key administrative support, you’ll free up technical leaders to focus on solving problems—while ensuring the work actually lands and progresses. In a culture that rewards performance and initiative, this can become a high-trust role with meaningful growth over time.
Reporting Structure- Works closely with manufacturing department heads and plant leadership.
- Interfaces frequently with design/engineering, quality, operations, and purchasing functions.
