Job Description

Synectic Solutions, Inc. (SSI) is seeking a Public Relations Specialist to support our NAVAIR customer. This position will act as the public relations resource for a NAVAIR Program Office in Patuxent River, MD. The anticipated award date for this contract is November 2024.

• Engage in promoting or creating an intended public image for individuals, groups, or organizations.
• May write or select material for release to various communications media.
• Create written content for various media channels to include but not limited to press releases, articles, presentations, and digital/social media content.
• Manage communications projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Track and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and identify areas for improvement.

BA/BS degree. AA degree considered with 2 additional years of experience.

• 3 to 10 years of experience performing duties described in a similar communications/marketing/public relations role.
• Experience working with the DoD, NAVAIR, and/or related government agencies, preferred.
• Graphics Design experience.

• Exposure to media relations and working in or knowledge of Naval aviation acquisition environment is desired. Command of writing stories, captions and other products in Associated Press style is desired. Experience in creating and executing internal or externally focused mass communications plans is desired. Competent in working in Windows, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe computing environment.

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
