Knowesis is seeking an SME III – Science Writer to translate complex scientific findings and psychological health concepts into accessible, impactful communications. This role ensures the high-quality presentation of the center's research artifacts to leadership, clinicians, and the public.

The

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Provide technical/science writing support to develop impactful written artifacts communicating PHCoE initiatives and research findings.
Support the editing and review of written content intended for internal use or public release.
Work with technical subject matter experts to write brief information products highlighting center accomplishments.
Ensure continuity of voice across products while translating complex scientific and health concepts for general audiences.
Review content for adherence to DoD, DHA, and other policies governing the release of government information.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Health, or a related field.
At least 8 years of professional experience in science, medical, or technical writing, including leading a strategic communications team in direct coordination with center leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with AMA or APA style guidelines.
Previous experience writing for federal health agencies or academic research institutions.
