Community Impact & Outreach Chair (Volunteer)
Guideship is a nonprofit workforce development organization dedicated to creating career pathways for underserved communities through mentorship, internships, apprenticeships, workforce readiness training, and cybersecurity education. The program has become one of Maryland's leading cybersecurity apprenticeship models, serving individuals from underserved communities and helping graduates launch careers in technology and cybersecurity. We are now seeking experienced volunteer Board Members who can help Guideship scale its impact through fundraising, strategic partnerships, donor engagement, and nonprofit growth.
The Community Impact & Outreach Chair helps Guideship build strong relationships with community organizations, underserved populations, volunteers, and local stakeholders. The Chair serves as a bridge between the organization and the communities it seeks to serve.
- Develop community partnerships.
- Support participant recruitment and outreach.
- Promote volunteer engagement.
- Identify unmet community needs.
- Assist with public awareness campaigns.
- Represent Guideship at community events.
- Help evaluate program impact and community feedback.
- Community leader, nonprofit executive, workforce advocate, civic leader, faith-based leader, or public service professional.
- Strong local network.
- Experience working with underserved populations.
- Passion for community empowerment and economic opportunity.
4–8 hours per month.

The Community Impact & Outreach Chair helps ensure that Guideship remains responsive, accessible, and impactful within the communities it serves.
