Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Day Shift, PACU

About This Role

Adventist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the PACU department. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care and mentoring others in a collaborative environment.

Highlights
  • Pay: $37.00 - $55.00
  • Location: Silver Spring, MD
  • Facility: White Oak Medical Center
  • Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (three 12‑hour shifts)
What You Will Do
  • Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
  • Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
  • Use equipment and technology correctly to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
  • Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
  • Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient‑centered care.
  • Conduct purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective.
  • Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
  • Licenses &

    Certifications:

    Current Maryland State nursing license, Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS required by specialty area.
