Licensed Practical Nurse - Dialysis - Per Diem

Position Purpose

LPNs working in Dialysis and under the supervision of the RN will be proficient in providing dialytic therapy to patients with acute renal failure or end-stage renal disease (ESRD). They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support outpatient hemodialysis on‑site.

• Observes safe practices and maintains a safe environment while caring for the patient.
• Operates unit communication systems, facilitates unit communication and relays messages appropriately (per HCH standard) including emergency communications, patient needs, telephone and intercom communications, and other departmental communications.
• Documents patient care/assessment data in the EMR including vital signs, patient status, treatments, education provided, assessment data, administration and effectiveness of medication, IV therapy.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Licensed Practical Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing (required)

• $23.97 – $33.56 per hour
• Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary within the stated range based on location.
