Surg Center of Silver Spring is looking for a Part Time Front Desk/Scheduler

Our technology allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, and General Surgery.

Responsibilities
  • Answering phones and greeting patients and visitors.
  • Schedule surgeries and coordinate schedules between the surgery center and physician offices.
  • Gather all detailed information for the patient’s chart, such as type of procedure, supplies, special equipment required, insurance information, etc. Enter all patient information in the computer system.
  • Confers with OR Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, and/or Administrator to determine status of scheduled surgeries. Alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Cross‑trained to fill in and effectively perform all other job descriptions.

Salary

Salary Range: $22.70 to $27.80

Required Skills and Experience
  • Education:

    High School education and/or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of related experience. Training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
