Job Overview
White Oak Medical Center seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for its Labor & Delivery unit. The role embraces the mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Responsibilities- Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks such as vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Specific duties may vary by area of assignment.
- Consider the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations.
- Participate in department and organizational education programs, meetings, committees, and professional initiatives.
- Commit to personal and professional development to adapt to ongoing change.
- Present a positive and professional image to represent nursing and the organization.
- Follow the care plan established and delegated by the Registered Nurse.
- Receive report from the Registered Nurse.
- Ensure a culture of safety.
- Identify and report malfunctioning or expired equipment and supplies.
- Ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately.
- High School Diploma required.
- Successful completion of a CNA or first‑year Nursing School Program and the CNA exam required.
- Maryland CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License required.
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Effective command of the English language (spoken and written).
- Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending, and turning.
- Experience in an acute care clinical setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Employment type:
Full‑time. - Hours per week: 36 hours (three 12‑hour shifts).
- Typical daily schedule: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.

Required, every other weekend rotation. - Holiday requirements:

Yes. - This position will act as the Unit Support Coordinator for the unit.
$19.21 – $24.90 per hour.
