Reporting to the Director, the Registered Nurse (RN) must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population of patients. The RN should possess the knowledge and skill to safely apply the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions.
Unit OverviewThis 30-bed unit provides care for high-acuity patients across a wide spectrum of complex specialties.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care.
- Communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of patient.
- Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records.
- Administer medications to patients, provide education and monitor for efficacy and side effects.
- Assess, monitor, report and record patient condition and pertinent changes.
- Design, implement and evaluate patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and family throughout stay and in preparation for discharge.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred). If the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
- Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.

Pay Range: $38.92 – $55.68. Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
