Adventist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for their Labor & Delivery Unit. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about providing compassionate care and mentoring others in a dynamic healthcare environment.

  Full-time, Day shift (36 hours/week, three 12-hour shifts)

• Educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards of practice.
• Use equipment and technology correctly and delegate non-nursing duties.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify impending changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective.
• Conduct efficient literature searches and apply findings to practice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Maryland State nursing license
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area
