Labor and Delivery Nurse

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring a safe and comfortable birthing experience. Collaborate with obstetricians and healthcare teams to monitor maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor laboring patients’ vital signs, fetal heart rates, and progress.
• Administer medications, including analgesics and anesthesia, as prescribed.
• Assist with prenatal exams, deliveries, and postpartum care.
• Educate patients and family members on labor, delivery options, and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, procedures, and progress.
• Ensure infection control protocols and safety standards are strictly followed.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license in relevant state.
• Proven experience in Labor and Delivery nursing or obstetric settings.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient advocacy skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of obstetric and neonatal care best practices.
