Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and compassionate patient experiences throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status and monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, pain management, and administer interventions as prescribed.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care practices.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed medical records.

Qualifications:

• Current registered nurse licensure with valid state credentials.
• Experience in labor and delivery, obstetrics, or maternal health preferred.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in fetal monitoring and emergency response.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
