Position Overview
As a CVOR Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the preparation, execution, and recovery phases of cardiovascular surgical procedures. You’ll collaborate with a specialized surgical team to ensure patient safety, maintain a sterile environment, and provide expert intraoperative care. Your advanced clinical skills and attention to detail will be critical in delivering exceptional outcomes for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and ready for use
• Assist the surgical team during procedures, anticipating needs and providing instruments and supplies promptly
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition during surgery, ensuring their stability and safety
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams to provide seamless, patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery processes
• Accurately document all perioperative activities, interventions, and patient outcomes in compliance with facility protocols
