Position DetailsFull‑time Registered Veterinary Technician
- Hourly wage: $20 – $25
- Utilize technical skills in exam rooms and surgeries
- Collect patient histories and provide client education on vaccine protocols
- Perform in‑house laboratory work (Idexx Procyte, Catalyst One, Snap Pro)
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
- Practice and guide safe restraint techniques
- Assist with urgent care and hospitalized patient treatments
- Support soft tissue surgeries, dental procedures, ultrasound, digital X‑rays, and related tasks
- Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in Maryland
- Proficiency in handling animals and working in exam rooms
- Experience with preventatives, laboratory equipment, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care
- Experience in surgical and anesthetic procedures
- Familiarity with Ezy Vet software is a plus
Our team consists of five veterinarians and a diverse group of veterinary professionals who collaborate closely, share responsibilities, and support one another in a respectful, team‑centric environment.
Schedule & Perks- Full‑time hours
- Rotating Saturdays
- Late‑night rotation (12–8 pm) for urgent care support
- Sunday shift every four months
- Opportunity to work a variety of cases, including urgent and emergency
- Utilize your full skill set to provide comprehensive patient care—including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.
- Guide and support the medical team, ensuring efficient workflow while mentoring others to grow their skills and careers.
- Serve as a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and answering questions.
- Contribute to a positive culture by training, providing feedback, and maintaining high standards.
- Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program.
- Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
- Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
- A calm, efficient approach, especially in fast‑paced or stressful situations.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborative teamwork.
- Preferred:
One year of experience in the veterinary industry.
