Location: Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE)

Work Environment: Hybrid / Telework Eligible (Routine and situational telework is authorized. Facility space restrictions may necessitate part-time or full-time telework.)

Clearance Required: TIER 2:
Non-critical sensitive position (Must be able to obtain and maintain)

Status: Full-Time

Salary Range: $120,000 - $167,000

The SME IV – Statistician provides elite statistical modeling and analytical capabilities to support the PHCoE research enterprise. This role leverages advanced statistical software and methodologies to solve complex health-related research problems and ensures high statistical rigor across center studies and evaluations.

The

Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Apply statistical approaches and use specialized statistical software to analyze and model data in an enterprise data environment.
  • Use sophisticated, research-supported statistical techniques and write custom code/syntax to solve complex statistical problems.
  • Propose valid, robust statistical solutions to psychological health research problems based on available data.
  • Present complex data and interpretations clearly in research reports and leadership briefs.
  • Produce technical artifacts (e.g., reports, tools, briefings, presentations, and manuscripts) consistent with the PHCoE mission set.
Required Qualifications:
  • Doctorate (PhD) in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • At least 13 years of full-time postdoctoral work experience conducting complex statistical analyses.
  • At least 3 years of full-time postdoctoral experience analyzing and modeling health-related research data.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in longitudinal data analysis, propensity score matching, and marginal structural models.
  • Prior experience working within the DoD or military healthcare data environments.
