Retail Operations Specialist
Job Location s: US-MD-Silver Spring | US-VA-Alexandria | US-MD-Lanham

We are seeking a dynamic Retail Operations Specialist (ROS) who will serve as an informational conduit between retail operations, clients/Retail Client Services Manager (RCSM) and the local markets. The ROS will provide analytical support and direction to retail management by synthesizing upstream information and creating actionable reporting and prioritization for the field.
The ROS reports to the Director of Retail Operations.

- Ensure compliance in regard to distribution, new item speed to shelf and all other pertinent client objectives.
- Review and approve all cycle activities.
- Gatekeeper of 30/60/90 day feedback; track new hires productivity/results and provide feedback to DROs/ROMs.
- Serve as single point of contact with Talent Acquisition (TA)/Total Rewards (TR) for hiring and onboarding process; assist with requisition and approval process.
- Compile and consolidate information flow from client/BDM teams.
- Communicate cycle priorities, promotional activities and special projects to the Retail Management Team.
- Facilitate client retail visits/audits and maintain routing execution (SRM).
- Gatekeeper of ARTS data (surveys, notes, doc locker, etc.).
- Consolidate retail audits, provide feedback/follow‑up actions to ROMs and DROs.
- Work with Retail Supervisor team to ensure accuracy of the Core Roster.
- Coordinate training and staffing; facilitate and enhance training for retail operations/direct retail teams.
- Relate field intelligence to headquarters and clients based on retail and field contacts.
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience (Required);
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience preferred. - 1–3 years of experience in route‑based retail operations.
- 4+ years of applicable work experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to understand complex demands of a decentralized organization and meet challenging timelines.
- Strong functional experience in retail management.
- Expert level on iPad/ARTS functionality.
- Solid understanding of Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Positive, energetic and enthusiastic communication to achieve results through others.
- Commitment to meeting or exceeding customer expectations; responsive to internal & external customer needs.
- Collaborative teamwork, respect for others’ ideas, and support to colleagues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and customer/client specific applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong prioritization, analytical, and research skills.
- Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and able to handle a fast‑paced work environment.
- Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to change and alter according to project or business changes.
- Independent work with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately amid frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.
Physical Requirements
The position is primarily office/sedentary. Incumbent must be able to sit for extended periods (66%+ of the day), hear the telephone, enter data on a computer, and lift up to 10 pounds.
Travel RequirementsEssential duties include travel and driving up to 20% of the time.
