This position is responsible for executing Acquisition 365, renewing, upgrading, cross‑selling BJ’s Loyalty Programs, handling merchandise returns, exchanges, pickups, and general member service inquiries. The role requires excellent communication and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Promote BJ’s value proposition around acquisition, retention, perks, and the member experience.
- Convert potential members by pitching membership programs in line with company policies.
- Sell BJ’s membership products to new and existing members.
- Drive toward goal achievement based on business benchmarks.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all BJ’s membership options and co‑brand credit cards.
- Serve as first‑line contact for membership, credit card applications, general questions, membership renewals, tax‑exempt/resale status, and BOPIC orders.
- Resolve member concerns politely and timely; elevate issues when needed.
- Assist with BOPIC orders for members.
- Maintain all club policies and procedures.
- Operate the role with regular, predictable full attendance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including support in other departments.
- Prior front‑line customer service or sales experience.
- Results‑driven with proven success in goal achievement.
- Basic math skills.
- Computer proficiency.
- Work primarily in a stationary position on hard surfaces, with occasional bending, reaching, stooping, and handling.
- Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs; assistance may be required for heavier items.
- Indoor environment with infrequent exposure to temperature extremes or loud noise; occasional contact with cleaning agents.
Pay range: $17.00 – $20.83. Actual salaries vary by location, education, experience, and qualifications.
