Position OverviewThe Wholesale Account Manager plays a critical role in strengthening our wholesale customer relationships,processing wholesale purchases,expanding our presence in the regional marketplace, and ensuring every client receives outstanding service. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with comprehensive nativeplant knowledge and a talent for sales, communication, and strategic account growth.
You’llensure continued sales growth,lead communication with wholesale accounts, collaborate with our production and sales teams,represent UCHN atpublic events andhelp shape strategies that support the nursery’s continued growth
Key Responsibilities- Ensure continued sales growthand meet/exceed sales goals
- Build,maintain, and grow strong relationships with wholesale clients.
- Initiate regular communication through calls, email, and digital platforms.
- Proactivelyidentifynew market opportunities and develop strategies to convert prospects.
- Represent Unity at trade shows, conferences, and client visits to strengthen visibility and engagement.
- Oversee all wholesale customer orders—from intake through fulfillment—ensuring accuracy andtimelydelivery.
- Coordinate special-order plant sourcing and communicate availability,pricing and timelines with clients.
- Collect and analyze sales and market data to support business improvement initiatives.
- Resolve client issues with professionalism, urgency, and asolutions-driven mindset.
- Participate in internal business meetings and provide updates on client activity, sales projections, and market insights.
- Assistthe management team with budgeting, forecasting, and sourcing strategies.
- Support onsite nursery sales and special eventsas needed.
- Strong year-over-year growth in wholesale account engagement and sales
- High customer satisfaction and retention
- Efficient,accurateorder coordination and communication
- Proactive identification of new opportunities and improved processes
- Minimal3yearsproven experience in outside sales and customer service experience, preferably in the horticulture industry
- Strong sales awareness withtrack recordof achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge ofnativeplant material including trees,shrubsand perennials
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized with strong attention to detail with ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or customer management role
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience working with wholesale nurseries or landscape industry clients
- Familiarity with CRM systems or sales tracking platforms
- Event, trade show, or B2B relationship-development experience
- Comfort with social media or marketing tools
- Salary: $54,080-$62,400.00based on experience
- Full-time position, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for seasonal weekend work
